GEM Pictures LLC was formed on April 1, 2014 in Delaware. It is a Limited Liability Company under the laws of the State of Delaware.
GEM Pictures LLC funded LOOPERS: THE CADDIE’S LONG WALK, narrated by Bill Murray and directed by Jason Baffa, which premiered at the Santa Barbara Film Festival on February 2, 2019 and BEYOND THE BRICK, A LEGO BRICKUMENTARY, narrated by Jason Bateman, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2015.
GEM Pictures LLC is also a partner Sharp Independent Pictures LLC (“SIP”), the producer of CRAZY ALIEN, directed by Ning Hao, which was produced in partnership with Dirty Monkey Films China, and opened on February 5, 2019, at #1 (with box office revenues in excess of $100 million) in China during the Lunar New Year holiday. SIP is in development on the upcoming GREAT BANQUET, a film about President Richard Nixon’s trip to China in 1972 for Amblin Pictures and Alibaba Pictures. Upcoming projects include BQ – THE BACCARAT QUEEN, based on the true story of Kelly Sun, the most successful female gambler in history for Ivanhoe/Sidney Kimmel Entertainment (CRAZY RICH ASIANS) and THE LAST CHINESE CHEF, based on the bestselling novel by Nicole Mones.

GEM has partnered with the CITIC Group (China International Trust and Investment Company), China’s largest native multinational company with $125 billion of total assets, 44 subsidiaries and true global reach and influence.
